THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE SNO-SKEETERS
Welcome to Manitowish Waters, the jewel of the northwoods and your winter headquarters for sleddin' heaven! This is the land of the Sno-Skeeter — a more benign species than their summer cousins. Yes, they also enjoy buzzing around the woods, but these skeeters don't bite; they ride. And skip the repellant, because you'll actually want them around — the Sno-skeeters are some of the most pleasant critters on the planet, and their snowmobile trails are some of the best in Wisconsin. That's pretty much the motto of the Sno-Skeeter: Safe, fun, scenic sledding and the warmest welcomes in the snowy Northwoods — a tradition they've more than lived up to every single winter since 1968.

Over the last 50 years, the Sno-Skeeters have been caring for Manitowish Waters area snowmobile trails with pride — and that pride shows in the consistently excellent conditions. The trails are groomed and maintained with a dedicated trail boss, trail crew and a modern groomer, ensuring a wonderful trail experience and a safe environment. If you're looking for a safe, fun and incredibly scenic snowmobiling experience, point your sled towards Manitowish Waters!
Sno-Skeeter membership currently boasts more than 400 current members, with new members being added to our ranks each year. Why not become one of them? There are many benefits, and even more excuses to get together for great times — both on and off the sled! Learn more about Club membership here!

Super
Skeeter
Sno-Skeeter pioneer Ralph Hanson was honored by the club he helped establish with a trail named in his honor.
We thank Ralph for his wonderful contributions to the Sno-Skeeters through the years. Keep an eye out for Ralph's plaque (and Ralph!) on the trail!
Governance, Meetings and Maintenance
Club Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month, October through March. If you'd like to see the inner workings of the Sno-Skeeters, you're always welcome to sit in for a meeting.
